The family-friendly festival celebrates the rich heritage of Windermere, its traditional boating culture, and the many ways people continue to connect with England’s largest lake.
Visitors can expect a varied programme of activities, including live music, family activities, inspiring talks, and pre-bookable lakeside experiences designed to encourage a deeper connection with Windermere’s ecology, history, and living traditions.
Highlights of the event include:
🛶 Paddleboarding and canoeing with Windermere Canoe Kayak
🧖 Tarn Sauna experiences by the lakeshore
🎶 Live music from sea shanty group Nobody’s Friend and Jon Dawes
🚤 Guided tours with an ornithologist aboard Osprey and sailing experiences on Swallow
🎨 Family trails, wildlife-inspired crafts, and hands-on activities
