As Loch Ness in Scotland is famous for its mysterious monster, attracting sightseers from far and wide, so now do we have a Lake District counterpart - 'Bownessie' who resides in England's largest lake, Windermere, here in Bowness-on-Windermere.
There have been sightings by a number of independent witnesses...and even a few close encounters... but the phenomenon remains an enticing enigma.

This all started with a wacky sighting in Bowness: a Bownessie plush that wasn’t even for sale. Kei (Fluffy K) found creator Naz Nina Haque, and Bownessie became a close friend in the Fluffy universe.
This summer in the Lake District, Fluffy and Bownessie truly met, and they’re ready to explore new wonders together.
